Case study · Studio, then Infinity

ChrysalabBespoke e-commerce website

Choosing an adhesive film takes more than a product photo. Customers need to understand its purpose, check their options and order the right dimensions. We created Chrysalab’s e-commerce website with Studio. The client then chose Infinity to keep improving it.

Guided tour · Chrysalab

The website, from discovery to basket.

From finding a film to adding it to the basket, four distinct screens show how buyers move towards a choice.

01 / 04

The homepage starts with a need.

The first screen makes the product, its effect and the route to the catalogue clear.

Three steps through the project

Understand. Choose. Order.

The journey turns a technical catalogue into clear decisions for buyers, without hiding the details they need.

01

Find the right film

Product families and helpful content guide visitors by need: heat, privacy, decoration or safety.

02

Choose the right format

The product page shows available widths, rolls, cut-to-length or made-to-measure options where offered, with the corresponding price.

03

Buy with confidence

Before-and-after visuals, specifications, installation advice and delivery information support the decision through to the basket.

The starting point

A technical product. A buying journey that stays clear.

One film can be available in several widths and lengths. Some are sold by the roll, cut to length or cut to fit a pane of glass. Visitors must understand the differences, check compatibility and see exactly what they are ordering. A catalogue made only of pictures and prices would not have been enough.

We organised the site around practical needs: reducing heat, adding privacy, decorating or strengthening glazing. Visitors can then find the right film range and check the technical details that matter to their decision.

What we designed

A buying experience, not just a catalogue.

The website connects discovery, product exploration and ordering. Every interface answers a practical question buyers ask.

01

Start with a need

Solar, frosted, decorative and safety ranges let visitors begin with the result they want rather than an unfamiliar product code.

02

A catalogue built for comparison

Category pages explain the films and their uses. Installation, width and length filters bring shoppers closer to an option they can actually order.

03

Product pages that explain

Before-and-after visuals, performance, glazing compatibility, installation guidance and delivery information support the decision.

04

Format choice built in

Depending on the product, buyers select a width, length, cut-to-size or made-to-measure option and see the price before adding to basket.

Guidance through to checkout

The right size should be as easy to choose as the right film.

Technical products are hard to sell online when variants are hidden in a menu or redirected to a quote. Here, the choices are part of the product page.

01

Choose a width

Available widths are shown on the page, so buyers can start with the dimensions of their glazing.

02

Choose a format

Roll, cut-to-length or made-to-measure options appear when the product offers them. These formats are not promised for every film.

03

Check before adding

The chosen format and price remain clear before basket. Specifications and glazing compatibility complete the decision.

Content and search

Useful answers are part of the store too.

A journey does not always begin on a product page. Someone may search for a way to reduce heat behind a large window, block a view into a room or check whether a film suits double glazing. Range pages, explanations of use cases and installation advice answer those questions before recommending a product. This helps people navigate the catalogue and gives search engines pages focused on distinct needs.

Product pages keep their technical information specific to each reference: performance, installation position, compatibility, warranty and formats. Every page has a purpose: answer a need, support a choice or allow an order, without repeating the same sales copy everywhere.

Behind the scenes

A store Chrysalab can run day to day.

Behind the store, a management space connects the catalogue, content and orders. The team can keep improving the offer without hard-coding every change.

Catalogue and formats

Products, images, prices, widths, lengths and made-to-measure options can be managed individually.

Content and search

The team can update product ranges, category pages, advice and search metadata.

Orders and customers

Orders, invoices and quotes are tracked in one place. Signed-in customers can view their history.

One order, one continuous thread

From payment to delivery tracking.

Once an order is paid, it appears in the management space and is passed to the preparation system. Production updates and the tracking number flow back into the order, while the customer receives timely updates.

What this project demonstrates

An online store built for a product that needs explaining.

The site connects an initial need to the right film, then to the right format and an order. Guides, compatibility information and prices support each choice. Chrysalab now has a store that explains as well as it sells.
